One lens will make you stay with Nikon: 14-24/F2.4 is perfect for your travel; Canon doesn't have that yet. Every place will look so exciting with that lens! 18-200mm for walking around, and 35mm/F1.4 for low light--you are covered. You just cannot use Canon and Nikon at same time, it will drive you crazy and photography won't be fun.
Thank you for your suggestion.
14-24/f2.8; this lens has a good reputation, but it won't fit any filters, is that right?
I am also considering:
17-35/f2.8; 24-70/f2.8 and 70-200/f2.8, and get rid of my 18-200 VR.
How do you think?

I have a Toyota. I have been keeping tracking the brand of the car people drive who use Nikon, it has some kind of relevance. Don't ask me yet...

Enjoy your toy.
Actually, Pilot is our first Honda car, before that, we are the loyal customer of Toyota cars. Just we bought Pilot because Toyota doesn't have a middle SUV which has the same size as Pilot, both Highlander and 4 Runner are smaller than Pilot; and we don't want to buy Full-size SUV like Toyota Sequoia.
My LD doesn't like Pilot at all (the detailed parts of Pilot can't reach LD's standards), he will switch back to Toyota in the future, and also, he used to be a Nikon fan, he has a Nikon film SLR when he was young.
