James’s photo may be improved with (1) increase exposure to show blue sky (2) use wider angle lens or tilt the camera to include sky above the top of building and correct perspective in Photoshop.

Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas downtown is one of my favorite locations to take stage photos. You may use a flash to take concert photos. During Memorial Day weekend, the rock group “Dirty Pairadice" was invited to perform on a stage under Fremont Street Experience. Attached are photos with their lead singer and one of the group members.

Mr. Chen, Regarding Mr. James Mao pictures, I'm sorry I have to disagree. Personally I think the picture was perfect the way it is. It has correct exposure, it's not too bright nor too dark just enough brightness and saturation, and the perfect concentration of the objects/subjects he intended people to concentrate on. By increasing the exposure of the foreground, it creates a distraction to the main point (which is the building). Just my two cents.

Lee168, thank you for your opinion. I went back to look at James’s photo, which still looks underexposed to me. The one I revised seems to have better blue sky; however, the entire photo looks too saturated.
