Kim, hope you don't mind if I used your photo to make correction as below. To get a perfect ball or planet like, you need to have both side of horizon in a perfect level or same height. Another thing that will help if you taking multiple images, the exposure, white balance, and metering have to be lock and the same across the images in order to get a smooth transition and prevent cut off in the final picture.

You are absolutely correct, lee168, after adjusting the horizon for the picture, it does roll into a better ball. Thanks.
