Like the first shot. This picture was taken at a very unique moment and location. Apparently I like the lighting. However, I would like to know you idea on composition and the theme of the photograph. Could you please give us some considerations on artistic intent?

说就几句话！“光是地球的奇迹！影是萬物之灵魂！摄影是要表达光与影之间的关系。也是表达奇迹与灵魂的结合。两者是很难分开的！“古松”四千年前就活在这个地球上，就是死了也千年不烂，怎样去表达“古松”精神力量呢？要靠个自的观查与思考！谢了！随便谈一下自己的看法而以。
Thank you for the reply. However, it is rather hard to understand what you meant ("master language"?, LOL). Most people who like photography most likely have learned and/or understood the importance of lighting, including highlights, shades, and different tones. I don't know whether these elements must be described in more abstract ways. Just like many people would say, please explain things to me as a 3rd grader.
Although lighting is a very important element in any of photos, there are still many elements to either let viewers enjoy or lead viewers to sense the artistic, emotional, or information processing powers of an artist. Apparently composition, and beauty of subjects play extremely important role in a good picture. For me, I would rather hear why someone chose to take the picture at that location, with that particular angle, and that moment, preference of composition, management of portions of subjects and areas as well as lighting and its alternatives. I dont' recall that people consider light and shages are the only considerations for phtography. In addition, I have hard time understand why the 4,000 year-old dead pine come into discussion. Are you saying you were trying to express the spiritual power of the dead pine? In the photo that I referred to, I don't sense the theme was about the dead tree, though.
Now days many pictures underwent extensive software modifications. Cropping and adjustments can be critical and directly affect the theme of a picture. I felt it would be more helpful discussing about practical approaches rather than talking about things in an abstract way.
May be this is the artistic differences. Thanks for reading.
